"Emergency situations in Ukraine"
Information on emergency situations in Ukraine from ancient times to the present is presented. Considerable attention was paid to the most important of them, such as the Second World War, the Chornobyl disaster, the Covid-19 pandemic, the Russian-Ukrainian war. Emergency situations related to the natural environment are described: earthquakes, storms, floods, etc. The charac- teristics of man-made emergencies are given, including various accidents and disasters: in construction, transport, communal services, as well as in the armed forces. The course of social upheavals is covered. Unwelcome incidents that can occur in tourist travel are described. Recommendations are given to minimize the negative impact of emergency situations.
The book is illustrated with a large number of maps, photos, and satellite images.
Recommended for specialists in the field of life and health protection, environmental and urban management, civil servants, teachers and students of the relevant profession, tourists and a wider range of readers.
