Results of 2025

The Central Geophysical Observatory named after Borys Sreznevsky reports that according to the combined hydrometeorological station Kyiv, the average annual temperature in 2025 in the capital was +10.4°C (averaged monthly), which is 1.4°C above the climatic norm. It became the sixth warmest in the capital during the period of observations.
In 2025, the air temperature exceeded the average multi-year indicators in most of its months. January and March were especially “notable”, which had the largest positive deviations – 5.3°C and 4.9°C, respectively, and became the warmest for the entire period of observations in Kyiv. But in February and May, a significant decrease in air temperature was observed, which had negative deviations from the climatic norm – minus 1.4℃ and minus 2.2℃, respectively.
The coldest was February 13 – minus 12.3°C, the hottest – July 7, when the temperature in the shade reached plus 34.4°C.
In total, 34 temperature records were recorded in Kyiv in 2025, with the highest in March – 15 and January – 11.
Precipitation fell 571 mm, which corresponds to 92% of the climatic norm. However, they were distributed very unevenly in time – almost one and a half monthly norms in July and October and only 31% of the average multi-year indicators in February.
